“Showing Up & Following Through” with Erica Eriksdotter

Showing Up & Following Through with Lauren Kiehna and Erica Eriksdotter
One of the coolest parts about my job is getting to meet other creative people from all around the world. My friend Erica Eriksdotter, for example, is a talented painter who specializes in portraits of pets. She will soon be launching How to Paint a Dog Portrait, a special digital course for artists who want to learn how to paint animals.

As part of the course’s bonus content, Erica and I recorded a long, detailed conversation about our creative pursuits. The resulting video, “Showing Up & Following Through,” is available exclusively to students who enroll in the course. I’ve embedded a preview above to give you a little sneak peek at the conversation. We chatted about setting goals, developing habits, and searching for inspiration in our work as a writer and a painter. She’s a longtime reader of The Court Jeweller, so we got into plenty of insider info about the way that the website runs behind the scenes!

(You’ll find the application form here!) And if you’d like to experience a taste of her skills and teaching first, you can take her free, 3-part online course, How to Paint Soulful Eyes.
